Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Lila ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of the App.

2. Description of the App

Lila is a party card game application that provides prompts, dares, and questions across three intensity modes (Soft, Regular, Spicy) for social entertainment purposes. The App may also include a "spin the bottle" interactive feature.

3. Age Requirements

Lila is intended for adults aged 18 and older. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Some content, particularly in "Spicy" mode, is intended for mature audiences. You are responsible for ensuring that Lila is appropriate for any group in which it is used.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, design, graphics, and code, is owned by Lila and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. "Lila" and all associated logos and branding are our property. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the App.

6. Purchases

The Soft, Regular and Spicy levels and the short games are free. After Dark, the swinger pack and Just Us are paid. They are sold on itch.io, which is the seller towards you: the purchase contract, payment, VAT and refunds are theirs, under their terms, and we never see your payment details.

What you buy is an unlock code. Entering it in the App unlocks the pack on that device, as often as you like on as many devices as you like. The code is checked on your device, so an unlock keeps working offline and does not depend on our servers staying up. Treat the code like a key: sharing it gives away what you paid for, and we do not replace codes that have been shared.

7. User Conduct

Lila is a social entertainment app for adults, and its Spicy and After Dark levels are explicit. You agree to use it responsibly and in a manner that is safe and respectful to all participants. Everyone opts in for themselves before those levels start, anyone may skip any card, and anyone may stop the game at any point. We are not responsible for how users choose to interpret or act upon the content presented in the App. Never pressure anyone into anything.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lila and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Third-Party Services

Lila is served as a web app from app.lila.wtf and depends on your browser and your internet provider, whose own terms apply to you. Links or references to third-party services do not constitute endorsement.

11. Changes to the App or Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted at lila.wtf/terms.html with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, through the appropriate courts.
